Book Review #3 India's Broken Tryst by Tavleen Singh

Hey Folks I m back with a new review, “India’s Broken Tryst” by Tavleen Singh which I have completed reading yesterday.
India’s Broken Tryst is political commentory by Tavleen Singh, a bestselling author and political Columnist. The book starts when the author finds that her residence is been raided who she believes is a congress conspiracy, under Sonia Gandhi being the defacto prime minister of India. In this book she has unmasked the Nehru-Gandhian reign that has impaired India.
Being a Mumbai Localite she has highlighted the guttersnipe life of Mumbai and has narrated some stories of down-and-out class, who are deprived of all the rights except voting. The challenges  faced by the footpaths of urban India every day and their vulnerablity which makes them an easy prey to dark world covers about fifty percent of the book.
She has shared her experiences when she started her carrier as jounalist and has witnessed some of the important milestone events that took place in Indian politics from “emergency” to consequencial Modi triumph in 2k14. She has denuded the Gandhian family which controlled India for 53 years. She has often discussed some of the sizzling topics like beef ban, vote polarization and the communal riots that happened in past and role of media in imaging them.
The book oscilates between the rich and poor class of India. According to me the author has spared the leftist parties and their idealogies as they also contribute to India to what it is today. Although I appreciate her straightforward attitude.
